Dixon has practised law as a private practitioner, in-house legal counsel and as a lawyer/IP Strategist in the public sector.
Over the years, Dixon has advised numerous entities including MNCs and SMEs across many different industries, such as gaming (studio to platform, platform to users), e-sports, platform works i.e. e-commerce, digital exchanges, mobile applications, agri-tech, food-tech, med-tech, artificial intelligence. As such, he is very familiar with the challenges (particularly IP issues) experienced by businesses throughout Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
On the public policy end, Dixon is an alumnus of Intellectual Property Office of Singapore and he was one of the key contributors involved in the formulation of the Singapore IP Strategy 2030 – Singapore’s 10-year IP road map.
He has spoken on topics relating to intangible assets in many conferences, including Eastern Economic Forum, International IP Symposium (Tokyo), St Petersburg International Legal Forum and World IP Summit (Amsterdam).
Dixon has been listed on the prestigious IAM Strategy 300 list in the recommended individual category in 2020, 2021, 2022 & 2023 and as Global Leader in 2024. He is also a certified IP mediator who sat in several panels around the world, include WIPO.

Daniel is currently General Counsel and Privacy Responsible (APAC), Asia Pacific at Bruker, a German & American based manufacturer of high-performance scientific instruments and medical devices. Daniel heads the APAC legal team that covers legal, data protection/privacy matters for China, India, Japan, Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. Daniel graduated with a degree in law from University of Leeds. He holds active IAPP Certificates such as CIPP/A, CIPM and CIPP/E.
Daniel also serves as Co-President of the Singapore Corporate Counsel Association (SCCA) and is the Co-Chair of Data Protection & Cybersecurity Chapter and Student Chapter. He is also part of the Executive Committee (representing SCCA) with In-house Counsel Worldwide (ICW).
American Embassy – New Delhi
John Cabeca is the U.S. Intellectual Property (IP) Counselor for South Asia serving Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. Working through the American Embassy in New Delhi, India Mr. Cabeca is the principal officer within the U.S. embassies and consulates throughout South Asia on policy matters related to the protection and enforcement of IP rights. A 35-year veteran of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, John assists U.S. companies in the region, advocates for effective IP policies, advises U.S. ambassadors and officials on foreign practices, interacts with foreign officials to exchange information, and share best practices, and promotes IP awareness to support strong and vibrant IP systems globally. Previously, Mr. Cabeca was the Regional Director for the Silicon Valley USPTO in San Jose, California, where he established and led the office and carried out the strategic direction on IP policy for the USPTO relentlessly advocating for the needs of intellectual property stakeholders.
Manushi is a seasoned advocate with over five years of comprehensive experience spanning corporate laws, cyber laws, intellectual property laws, civil litigation, criminal law, and other allied legal areas. Her career commenced in the financial services sector, where she distinguished herself by obtaining several key certifications, including NSE Certified Market Professional - Level 2, NSE Financial Markets: Beginners module, NSE Capital markets (Dealers) Module, Options Trading Strategies Module, and Wealth Management module. This solid foundation in financial markets and trading strategies enriched her understanding of complex regulatory and compliance frameworks, a skillset that proved invaluable as she transitioned to legal practice.
Her involvement in ERP solutions as an implementation consultant was marked by the intricate task of interweaving a complex gamut of financial functionalities into a robust legal framework. This endeavor was particularly pivotal in the EXIM sector, where precision in documentation underpins the entirety of legal reasoning and decision-making processes. Nik has extensive experience as an in-house counsel and has been part of the leadership team of several prominent organisations. Prior to joining TM, he was the Group General Counsel of Sapura Energy Berhad. During his time there, he successfully negotiated and completed the Global Multi-Currency Facility financing exercise involving 13 local and foreign banks. Whilst at Malaysia Airline Berhad (MAB), as the Group Chief Corporate Services Officer, he re-negotiated an aircraft purchase contract to reduce MAB’s liability exposure, among other achievements.
He was responsible in leading the Legal team that saw through the merger exercise between SapuraCrest Petroleum Berhad and Kencana Petroleum Berhad and the start of SapuraKecana Petroleum Berhad, as a new merged and listed entity in 2012. In addition to that, as the Head of Legal at Energy & Utilities Division, Sime Darby, he successfully negotiated and concluded a Settlement Agreement resulting in a significant write-back to the Division.

Last year, Nik was recognized and enlisted in the Legal 500 GC Powerlist Malaysia 2023. He has also served at reputable legal firms in Malaysia including Zul Rafique & Partners and Zaid Ibrahim & Co, where he advised clients in various projects which involved international parties spanning from China to the Middle East.
Rishi holds a double degree in Electrical Engineering and Law. He was called to the Singapore Bar in 2012, admitted in NSW, Australia as a solicitor in 2009 and also an accredited mediator.
Currently Rishi is the Head of Legal (Technology) and Chief Privacy Officer of the Yinson Group of Companies, an energy infrastructure and technology MNC. His vast experience includes commercial and civil litigation, mergers and acquisitions, general corporate work, intellectual property, data privacy, information technology, cybersecurity and other legal matters covering broad corporate, commercial, regulatory, licensing and advisory issues.

Doris Chen started her career as a private practice lawyer in international law firms for around 6 years, and then she transferred into the in-house world. In 2017, Doris joined legacy Firmenich as a Legal Director and from 2018 until now she has assumed the role of Head of Legal for APAC for legacy Firmenich and the merged dsm-firmenich. She takes care of the legal, compliance, and risk management matters of the company in the entire region including India. In 2023, Doris has been nominated by LexisNexis® as the WOMEN TO WATCH 2023, and by Legal500 on the Green GC Power list and Best SEA Legal Team list. She was also awarded Lexology as Asia Pacific Counsel in 2023 and shortlisted by ALB as the In-house Counsel of the Year.
ADRIAN OOI currently provides legal services, consultation, and operations management for all 6 Millennium & Copthorne Singapore hotels, as well as the other hotels located in the South-East Asia region. He handles the dispute resolution process, the data protection compliance as well as corporate financing support for the M&C group treasury. Providing support to the other various functions such as global marketing, loyalty programmes, hospitality systems and global IT services, Adrian works closely with the business leaders in promulgating Blue Ocean value. Just prior to this, he was Senior Director, Legal at MindChamps PreSchool Limited, a premier provider of early education, childcare and preschools in APAC; Head of Legal for Next Story Group, a hospitality group having hotels in Australia, Singapore and India; and Deputy Director, Legal for Oakwood in its Asia Pacific headquarters. Oakwood has a global worldwide presence, and is a market leader for Serviced Apartments. He has had overseas posting experience with Peacock Pavilion Restaurant Management (Chengdu) Pte Ltd, as General Manager/Counsel since November 2011, of which he oversaw the company’s operations and finances. He also had the opportunity to draft protocol and procedures, and ensured their smooth implementation both for front line service staff and back-end kitchen crew. Thereafter he worked with ST Electronics (Info-Comm) Pte Ltd, a company under the Singapore Technologies Limited, a Singapore Government Linked Company, where he headed the Legal Unit. Having governmental and public office exposure, he served as Senior Legal Counsel in the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (“CAAS”) for close to a year, and served about 4 years as Deputy Public Prosecutor, assisting the Attorney General and senior prosecutors in enforcing Singapore’s rule of law. He handled theft and property related offences,including financial fraud, complicated Ponzi scams and money laundering matters. He further dealt with bribery, corruption, capital siphoning and other corruption cases in a senior role. He holds an Masters in Accountancy and Finance, and 2 bachelor’s degrees, the first being an L.L.B. (2nd Class Upper Honours), and the other being B.Sc in Applied Accountancy (1st Class Honours). He is a fellow of both ACCA and CIArb. He also completed recently the Graduate Certificate in International Arbitration at the prestigious NUS.
